The Cottages Perched on the edge of Killala village and overlooking the beautifully wild Killala Bay, The Old Deanery Cottages offer a unique holiday experience. Take this opportunity to escape the rigours of your daily routine and be soothed by the peace and tranquillity of this quiet fishing port.
Nestling in the shadow of the 12th century Round Tower, and with a panoramic view of the beautiful Killala Bay, the Old Deanery Cottages offer a traditional holiday with all the comforts of modern living.
A family business for more than 20 years, the Old Deanery Cottages were originally run by Mrs Betty Keane. Now Betty's daughter, Liz and her partner Tony manage the Cottages. They are delighted to continue Betty's tradition of a warm welcome with cosy and comfortable accommodation, and whether this is your first or fifth visit, you will be made feel at home here. The eight award winning self-catering homes are set in a cluster on the edge of the village and offer stunning, panoramic views of Killala Bay and Bartragh Island.
Each of the cottages has its own view over the Bay. They are all fully furnished and well equipped with modern facilities, while still retaining a real sense of traiditional Irish lifestyle. With 2 bedrooms downstairs (1 double and 1 twin/single) and a dormer bedroom (for 3/4 people) upstairs, the Cottages can comfortably accommodate 6/7 people. The larger of the cottages also has an en suite upstairs. When the sun sets, the open turf fire creates a cosy and comfortable atmosphere. You are welcome to help yourself to any salads, herbs and vegetables that are in season from the kitchen garden, and a catering service is available for group bookings (pre-book to ensure availability).
